The pen marks on this doodle went really well… Then I had the bright idea if putting watercolour over it, decided it was a mistake and tried to rub it down with toilet tissue… Yeahhh. I kinda like the effect though! And it’s always fun to have a doodle experiment!
Stripy light, dark lines, colourful sea
Still squiggling. Thick and heavy.
Watercolour paints and tasty black ink on watercolour paper. The paper earned its medal this time!
Spugganiffles cone to town. Thought I’d just noodle on and A3 piece of paper and see what happens this morning. I’m thinking that building will come down in one poke.
I’ve just released a new collection on Design Bundles. Lots of flower and leaf doodles in all the formats, great for crafts and design projects! You can grab them at https://designbundles.net/squeebcreative
Fire up the sunshine! First day of the year sitting in the garden. Suddenly furlough is ok. I used the Brusho powder paint stuff again. I like it when wet, the way the colours bleed into eachother is exciting, but always a little disappointed when it dries less vibrant. Maybe I need to try some different paper! *Rushes to the craft shed*
Tulips in Farnborough… Didn’t really have an idea when I started doodling on top of the minimal watercolour paint (not my usual fill the paper with colour!) So it was fun to see odd flowers blossom from it. Going to have some fun making ink bubbles later for some underwater vibes. Paper straws at the ready!
Falling into the deep sea…
Brusho powders, bleach and inks on watercolour paper. Keep dreaming!
Started the day trying to paint delicate flower petals with watercolour paints… Ended up going a bit crazy with ink and promarkers! It’s a bit crazy but I think there’s something pretty wild about it! It totally distracted me from carrying on trying to really learn how to paint all day though!
It’s getting tricky trying to do art every day. I’m in such a fortunate position to be able to have all this time for a few more months, but sometimes it can be too much of a good thing. I need to grab a bit of structure to the day! Things are going wobbly…
